Shopping Our STash!

Hiya!

It's time for another Shopping Our Stash challenge and this week we want to see:
Challenge 91 February 26: Tag it- use a tag on your project or create a Tag

So here's what I made:

I went very literal, I wasn't feeling the whole 'tag on a card' thing this time, so I went straight for something just pretty and playful. I wanted to play with my supplies, not have to think them through.

First I stamped the old-but-still-SO-beautiful Hydrangea stamp from Hero Arts using Hero Arts Dye Ink, then I coloured it with Inktense pencils and used my waterbrush to blend. SO EASY!

Next I stamped the Hero Arts Old Letter stamp using Antique Linen distress ink, and added the wooden embellishments. I think they give a fun, quirky and slightly modern touch to an otherwise vintage tag.

To finish I added some GAWJUSS Mossy Made ribbon and some teensy gemstones :)

Hope you like it!

Please head on with me, over to the Shopping Our Stash blog, to check out the rest of the DT's work, they're amazing projects as always!

We'd love for you to join us! If you're unsure of the "requirements" just head to our FAQ page!

See you soon!

a few things and a card!

Hi there!!

So a couple of things :)

I wasn't able to participate this week due to time constraints (read: my kids were insane) in the current Shopping Our Stash challenge, but it's a good 'un, so be sure to pop over and check it out.

Also, there's a great challenge up right now over at A Blog named Hero. The DT have done amazing jobs with their inspiration projects, so please have a look and join in if you can! There's a Simon Says Stamp voucher up for grabs, for one lucky winner!

Here's the card I made for the challenge:

I love that a stamp as modern and COOL as the hexagon background stamp still totally suits this shabby chic style. Love using stamps in unexpected styles!

OK, and finally i Have a card for you today :)

I recently caved and bought some GAWJUSS Avery Elle stamps and thought i'd have a play.

This is using a shadow stamping technique (stamp in white ink first, then in colour right over the top, but slightly offset)
That raspberry jam Hero Arts ink?! HELLO LOVE!!

ok that's it for me! Any questions or comments, I'd love to hear from you!

See you soon!

WHOOPS! Shopping Our STash Challenge!

Hello Hello!

I'm so sorry this post is late! I had it all set up and ready to go, then I came back in later to edit it, and forgot to reschedule it. I've been away from my PC for a few days so I didn't realise.

Here is the latest Shopping Our Stash Challenge:

Challenge 89 February 12:  Birthday theme- birthday card or layout, tag, etc.

Now the main stamp I used IS new (but I didn't buy it for this challenge, I was given it by a sweet sweet friend), and it was coloured with a birthday present that arrived the other day from my sweet darling Mary Dawn--Inktense pencils--they're so fun!
The sentiment stamp however, is about a million years old. (or thereabouts lol)

I thought about adding faux stitching or a matte, or about fifty five other things, but I'm liking the CAS look at the moment. A couple of golden rhinestones did the trick :)

Hope you like it!

Be sure to head over to SOS now, to check out the rest of the DT's amazing cards!! They're all fabulous as always :)

Thanks for stopping by!

SOS CHallenge 88! Bling!

Hello!

I'm here with this week's Shopping Our Stash Challenge!

We want you to use some bling! Glitter, gemstones, perfect pearls etc etc. Have fun with it!

Here is my take:

Again I was inspired by the fun, fabulous cards over at Clean and SImple 2.

I heat embossed the hexagon background, then used my watercolour paints and had so much fun making this cardfront!

I then cut a strip out of the main panel about 2/3 of the way down and removed a little length, so that I could fit the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment onto the cardbase, and then adhered the painted panel, on dimensional adhesive.

For the shine component, I spritzed the entire piece with perfect pearl + water mix, then added some gemstones.

Hope you'll join us and play along this week!

See you again soon!

a card!! finally a card!!

Hi friends!!

I made two cards tonight, one of them I'll be showing you on Tuesday for the new Shopping Our Stash challenge, but the second, I'm showing you tonight :)

A big, huge, super smoochy smooch to the latest Clean and Simple 2 class that's on over at online Card Classes right now, for helping me FINALLY find my missing mojo :)

I stamped and heat embossed the gorgeous hexagons background stamp onto white watercolour paper. Then I used my watercolour paints to create an ombre effect. Its messy looking, but I like that. It looks handmade (and isn't that the point?)

This was inspired by a technique Jennifer did on day 2, but it's not quite a one-layer  card, but close. I just love the colours. (It's about 8 colours, all blended together with my water brush).

Hope you like!

I'll be back soon :)
